Great Quotes in Literature: Rubeus Hagrid

I’ve been re-reading the Harry Potter books for the umpteenth time, and just finished The Goblet of Fire. One line by Hagrid really jumped out at me this time: “What’s comin’ will come, an’ we’ll meet it when it does.” This is a fabulous bit of advice, not only in regard to preparing for the return of the Dark Lord, but for life in general. We can rarely prepare for what life may throw at us. Whatever it may be, we must meet it with courage and grace. And humor.

Hagrid meeting it.
